an immense number of people unhappy with how they look and comparing themselves to a staged image that they have seen on a screen… i pick up my phone and i am bombarded with “perfect” bodies be it on social media or unsolicited marketing that conveniently pops up on the screen as i am trying to buy toilet paper.
porn teaches us unreal expectations and to stage the most vulnerable act of connection and creation in human experience.
when we make love we are nude in front of our partner’s eyes (body&soul).
porn industry teaches us body penetration not soul connection. it creates an epidemic of frustrated people, lost between their addiction to the fantasy and real life.
real life takes energy, presence, self knowledge, willingness to open up and compassion to accept myself and my partner.
the screens offer a quick fix and dopamine effect on our neural system. my perspective is that as a collective we must to unlearn such violent acts against our humanness - it is violent with ourselves when we try to fit in an expectation of something that is not even real and was staged somewhere in the world for money’s sake.
